James Crowley

James F. Crowley, President of Community Intervention, Inc., has over 25 years of experience and has traveled more than four million miles to train adults who work with at-risk youth. His areas of expertise include student assistance programs, support group facilitation, alternatives to suspension, community mobilization, children of alcohol/drug dependent families, children of divorce, and ATOD intervention. Mr. Crowley is a nationally recognized trainer and keynote speaker

James Crowley has taught thousands of people to establish student and community assistance programs. The Community Intervention model encourages all community systems to work together to help troubled youth. He has been recognized for his efforts by both national and local organizations. The Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Programs awarded Mr. Crowley a "Visionary Award" for his contributions to the student assistance field. The National Association of Children of Alcoholics awarded him for his contributions to the COA field.

Mr. Crowley is the executive producer of two award-winning educational films and several instructional videos. He is the author of several books on student assistance and community mobilization.

James Crowley received his Master's Degree from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to joining the ATOD field, he worked for 10 years as a teacher and administrator in both public and private schools. He is a former Board President for the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA). He is a proud parent and grandparent.




Jim Crowley
