A Friend in Need VHS
Thousands of elementary age children have found a friend and teacher in Baxter, AKA Sooper Puppy. Central to all the issues that Baxter and his neighborhood friends face is empowerment. Through their trials and tribulations, children learn along with them, mesmerized by these lovable puppets and wise old Grandpaw's animated stories.
Sometimes it's hard to tell friends that they're doing something wrong or dangerous. In this adventure, Baxter stands his ground to prevent one friend from getting involved in selling drugs and another from playing with a gun. As Baxter discovers that he's done the right thing, young viewers learn that it's better to tell the truth to a friend than to say nothing and see them get hurt. Children learn that real friends do what it takes to keep people they care for safe and happy.
