Thousands of elementary age children have found a friend and teacher in Baxter, AKA Sooper Puppy. Central to all the issues that Baxter and his neighborhood friends face is empowerment. Through their trials and tribulations, children learn along with them, mesmerized by these lovable puppets and wise old Grandpaw's animated stories.
Baxter faces a series of decisions concerning friends, family, and responsibility. With practice and some wisdom from Grandpaw's story about "Rosie," a mouse who discovers her power to choose to be happy or grumpy, Baxter learns that decision-making is frequently just a matter of how you choose to look at things. Baxter also learns that if you wait too long to make a decision, the decision may be made for you. This program teaches children about litter and recycling, about helping others, and that even friends don't always agree.
