The Violence Intervention Program: Helping Teens Manage Anger and Aggression
In order for young people to focus on learning schools need to be places where students and staff feel safe. This seminar addresses the practical steps schools can take to reduce aggression, limit avoidable conflicts and prevent violence. The Violence Intervention Program is a clearly defined, 10-session program you can use with students most likely to be disruptive. You will leave the seminar with a multifaceted approach to help students become aware of their aggression, develop skills to deal with their feelings, and make decisions about what further help they need to continue the positive changes made in group. Many schools use The Violence Intervention Program as a positive alternative to suspension.
